Sam was born and raised in Southern Maine and has always loved the natural beauty the state offers. From a young age, she had a passion for horses and her family bought a farm in North Yarmouth where her parents still live today. During her childhood summers, Sam spent extensive time at her grandfather's home on Mount Desert Island where she gained a true appreciation for Maine's coastline as well.
